In the first direct comparison to last years semi-annual reports, most advocacy organizations have been spending more to push issues Association and nonprofit lobbying groups are on track to outspend their lobbying expense totals from 2007.Organizations filed their LD-2 quarterly lobbying reports on July 21, detailing the expenses related to lobbying activities. At most associations, year-to-date figures surpass the six-month figures from 2007. In some cases, advocacy groups have already eclipsed their expenses for all of 2007.
